How Does Discretionary Funding Actually Work?
At the Valley Community Foundation, unrestricted or discretionary funding is one of the most important resources we have. It allows us to be able to respond when something changes, when a need emerges, or when an opportunity arises that could truly strengthen our community.
Valley Celebrates America's 250
The Valley Celebrates America’s 250 is a Valley Community Foundation initiative. VCF will award 30 grants of $500 per project to support initiatives across the five-town Valley towns of Ansonia, Derby, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton. Additional funding may be available for cross-town projects and/or events. Funding will be awarded until funds are depleted.
In Memoriam
Thelma Pauline Bondos (Tomlinson)
The entire Valley Community Foundation family sends their heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the Bondos Family on the passing of Thelma Pauline Bondos. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the John A. Bondos Scholarship Fund.
