Act 1, Scene 3. In 2014, well known, loved, and respected Valley couple establishes the Gary and Francesca (Riggio) Scarpa Fund for Center Stage Theatre to provide a solid base of funding support for Center Stage now and in the future.

When the Scarpas began performing and directing all those years ago, little did they know thattheir journey would eventually include philanthropy. "Our work with young people has always included community outreach," said Gary. "Now we are grateful that Center Stage is the recipient of a tremendous outpouring of giving from so many different individuals, corporations, and foundations. In order for us to continue our dream of providing live, affordable, and accessible theatre in the Valley, we wanted to take this next step and create a fund that will help to support Center Stage in perpetuity. We couldn't think of a better way to honor and thank everyone who has been there for us through all of these years."

This Fund is the Scarpa's gift to the community. "It is because of the support of our community that Center Stage has grown and flourished," said Fran. "This tide of support truly helped to guide us to where we have wanted to go. This is not just about putting a show on a stage; it's about helping to positively impact the quality of life in the Valley.

The majority of Center Stage's audience is from the Valley, but its reach continues to grow. The Scarpas have had several opportunities to move, but are committed to remaining in the Valley. "This is our home," said Gary. "We want to keep improving our space, and providing quality shows throughout the years." So what does Act 2, Scene 1 look like? "Having this Fund available helps us to keep the possibilities endless," said Fran. "We couldn't have scripted a better story,"
