Raymond Rose was the fourth of five children born to George and Helen (Lynch) Rose. After attending Hamden schools, Ray served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed in Germany. He was the owner and operator of Reliable Garage and Service Station in Derby for more than 50 years until his retirement at the age of 83. He was a kind, generous, humble man who possessed a one-of-a-kind, mischievous sense of humor.
